Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper (Low Carb)

Love Jalapeno Poppers but cutting carbs? Here’s a fix you’re guaranteed to love!


10 Jalapenos
10 slices smoked bacon
1 pkg low fat cream cheese (softened to room temp)
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tbsp cumin
Salt and pepper (to taste) [Be aware bacon will provide a level of salt]
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Cut tops and slice jalapenos in half length wise. Remove ribs and seeds.
3. Cut bacon slices in half.
4. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt and pepper.
5. Smear inside of jalapenos with cream cheese mixture.
6. Taking the bacon halves, wrap jalapeno in bacon keeping seam side down.
7. Place on a cooling rack with a baking sheet underneath.
8. Bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is to desired crispiness.

    I made these with plain cream cheese (no garlic onion or cumin) and they were delicious. I think this will be one of my regular snacks.
