Sesame & Sprout Salad

A tasty side with a lot of crunch!

 

Servings 4-5

 

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh bean sprouts
1 tbsp. white sesame seeds
1 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 stalk finely chopped green onion
1 ½  tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 sm. clove garlic, finely

 

Directions:

  1.  Wash and drain bean sprouts.
  2. In a sauté pan, fill half way and bring to boil.
  3. Drop bean sprouts and blanch for 2 minutes. Quickly drain and place in ice bath to stop cooking.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients in Ziploc bag. 
  5. Drain bean sprouts and place in Ziploc bag.  Toss around to coat.
  6. Refrigerate for at least an hour and serve chilled.

 

Options: Add sliced Thai chilis for spice. Or add tsp chili oil.
